Then these "expert" announcers did nothing but run down Carrol for the call instead of praising New England for playing defense and not literally giving Seattle a touchdown which they thought was a good idea just seconds earlier....

That's why they are announcers and not coaches. I think most of America is running down Carroll for that play call.

That's why most of America shouldn't coach, either....What if they kept handing the ball to Lynch and he got stopped each time?....That was the play everyone thought would work (in hindsight, of course)....You think maybe New England might have been expecting it also?....Carroll made a call...It didn't work out...

No guarantee any other play would have worked either....

Good Game, Pats!

Was an awesome season and even with the loss, the Super Bowl was pretty fun.

Wilson had them driving, and I even understand the call to pass the ball. Butler made an outstanding play (I said that in the stands even before I saw the replay).

I'm pretty sure Pats fans were having PTSD after the Helmet Catch 2...ya'll know how fortunate you are to have come away with a win yesterday, right?

Enjoy the ring...maybe we'll see you again next year.

True, but the premise is that Lynch was having success running the ball, especially after gaining about 4 yards on the previous play. Thank god for some effective tackling by the Patriot's defense that prevented him from getting in the end zone.

Any team that has confidence in their running game would have tried to stuff it in on each down, dependent on the amount of time left and timeouts afforded to them. I guess Carroll at the end wasn't ready for what transpired.

also glad the people didn't cheer during the national anthem. cause that would be you know, not classy.
A lot of the Pats fans were cheering there during the anthem too...because they were playing portraits of Brady & others during the anthem. There were just more Seahawks fans there, so it was noticeable. I was thinking at the time about how bad it was to be showing player shots during the anthem rather than focusing on the flag & singer.

Though I would have loved to see us win, life goes on. I had an awesome month in Seattle and down here.

I'm here at Dove Mountain in Tucson now, enjoying the resort and will be driving back to North Carolina tomorrow.

Had an amazing time last week at Ron Fellows Performance Driving school...that place is amazing. Learned some great techniques to use with my Stingray at the track, and plan to head back for the Level 2 and Level 3 courses, as well as a Z06 course (ordered one last month).

Overall, this last month was amazing though.

Seattle with 20 seconds left and 1 time out they could tried a running play Lynch or Wilson. If it did not work call the time out and then tried the pass play. No way in hell should a pass play be called.

Great game. I only caught the last quarter. Well about half the last quarter.

After seeing all the social media comments and some here a couple things come to mind.

Seattle is a great team and should be battling to go back next year.

Heard some people talk about the Seahawks had them beat and lost only because of one play. Sorry. Not true. I could argue that they were at the end zone because of one lucky play. Wilson threw a pick on the goal line. So did Tom Brady earlier in the game. After 60 minutes the Patriots outplayed the Seahawks by a smidgen and are the true champs. (Stupid Patriots)

Now for my own observation.

Brady's game was much more impressive than Wilsons. To prove that comment I ask you this........

What is more impressive, Brady having that game against the Seattle defense or Wilson having that game against the Patriots defense?

Both ratings over 100 both played great. But to have a game like that against that nasty mean defense in the biggest game there is....... impressive.

I envy the Hawks. I'd cut off a finger for Russel Wilson in Buffalo.
