I am willing to bet that the 350R and Z will swap wins depending on the track. No clear winner. As long as the 350 smacks the GTR like the Z did, we are all winners.

A Ford spokesperson was pretty quick to refute the Horsepowerkings claim of them discontinuing V8s in 2017...maybe they will be just as quick to jump in on this one.

I just read that the GT 350 is 5 seconds faster that the new Z28. It must be true because I read it on the Internet.

Not a Ford lap time. Private owner's car used for a magazine article, IIRC. The point is, Ford does not seem to put much stock in using 'Ring times for marketing purposes, but other makers embrace it. Personally, no published or "official" track time is going to factor into my decision to buy a car.

Lap times are for fanboys and trolls. Its nice to see what these cars can do, but honestly 95% of us are going to purchase based on either looks, or personal preference.

True, but lap times, 0-60, 1/4, horsepower, etc create hype and grab attention which then turns into sales.
