Jay Leno owns and drives multiple jet powered road legal cars and motorcycles. California road legal.... He'll there was even a car made by Chrysler way back in the day that had a jet type engine. Turbo fan engine I believe which is the same idea.

Ah, the Chrysler gas-turbine engine. I even saw one of those at a car show a few years ago. That was an idea that just never caught on.
