Not quite case closed...

Delphi developed the street car version of magnetic ride suspension in the mid 90's in work with Lotus on F1 systems. GM didn't invent it or play a role in its invention. They did however bring it first to the American market in the 2002 STS.

As of right now MagneRide™ is a product of Delphi under BWI industries. Any company that uses MagneRide pays royalties to BWI, GM, Ferrari, Ford, BMW, anyone.

No, BWI does. GM pays royalties to BWI to use it.

As to ABS, it appears it was first designed for use in airplanes in 1929 by the French. Chrysler gets credit for the first computer controlled 4 wheel system in the 1971 Imperial with Ford and GM offering a rear only ABS system on some models around the same time.

Asis usual with complex systems, it is often designed in collaboration and then later with various manufacturers refining the systems over time, as appears to be the case with magnetic ride systems. I think GM deserves credit as the first to offer a magnetic ride system in a street going vehicle, regardless of who may have "invented" it.

They use to be Part of GM's Global brake and suspension buisness, They were part of GM. Ferrari and GM had a tech swap during the C6 zr1 and Ferrari was Licensing the Tech from GM. GM sold them off during the Bankruptcy (big Mistake imo), but Credit goes to GM since they were GM engineers, funded By GM, today they are independant.

The wing is function over form. You don't have to like the way it looks but I bet people love the way it plants the rear tires through a high speed turn.
