Can't Win for Nothing.

I am just ranting here but good for me to let it out somewhere.

The 16 year old calls up and says the Honda is broke. So I am able to go start it up without any radio or anything on and tell her to follow me to the auto store. This is the place I bought the battery a year and half ago. So they will replace the battery but are swamped so I have to do the work myself. Open the hood and it will not stay opened. Make Jackie hold it open. The entire engine compartment looks like hell. I cleaned it before I gave it to her and now it is crap. Battery is bad. So replace it and car works.

Anyway used up gas in the Camaro driving around so went to fill it up this morning. Bang rock into the windshield. I am just so upset and frustrated with life. Cancer, this, that and everything else. I go to church every sunday and even serve on the church council but stuff just keeps going wrong in my life all the time.

I am about ready to give up on everything.

dont you give up. you have come so far already and stephanie doesn't need any more pain. no offense and i know this is not easy to hear or believe, but the camaro is just a car and not anything to loose your life over. i know that things are tough, but the bible says to give all your soul and troubles to the lord and he will take car of you. hang in there bud and the lord works in very mysterious ways. dont give up

Now, I thank God for what lies ahead. I pray for more faith and place my trust in God because " In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" Rom. 8:28
Dear God help us to trust you and to look for your hand at work, no matter what life brings.
About 5 years ago I felt the same way, just give up! I lost my Dad, had to have an artificial knee put in, heart troubles, and a teenage son that just would not get off the couch! But I kept at it, and it all got better, and it will for you I promise!

I'm glad you know that we are here for you to vent to.. I know it seems like you just can't get a break right now but things will get better. And I understand that giving up seems like the easy thing to do but you know that in reality it only complicates things even more.
Hang in there Scott..I'll be praying for you..

Dude. I can't even imigine you being pissed. You're allways so calm about stuff. Keep cool and just let time do it's thing. You'll be unloading Jackie soon enough.

Steph and Zach seem to be pretty pleasant.

And, hell, I can't even go fast enough to get a rock chip.

Had Bonnies windsheild replaced a month or two ago on site. Cost about 230.00 and no insurance claim. May be more for the Camaro.

Pics of the chip?

I know thing suck at the moment, but take a step back and look at the big picture. Stephanie doing better, you have a job, you have a nice house, you have your dream car, and a family that loves you. When we all feel like the world is against us just take a step back and you'll see how bless you really are. From there things don't look so bad any more. Just thank gob for all the gift he as given you and just keep on fighting man.

FWIW

This world we live in isn't perfect... I know that this is an extremely difficult time with everything you deal with.

Please consider a couple thoughts...

One, these are the times when we are tempted to turn away from God. In times of struggle the war is raging full bore. And you have to stay focused on what matters most in times like this and he will see you through it... He promised he would.

Second, I know this is a tough one to grasp in the middle of the trial. But, this would be much more difficult to endure with out God. So hang in there.

I don't mean to belittle what you are dealing with. But in the grand scheme of things. The battery, the dirty engine compartment, the rock chip are all small stuff that is relatively easy to fix.

Take a deep breath have a beer or beverage of your choice and see it through.

I promise there is light at the end of this tunnel. No doubt about it.

Hope this helps.

Scott,
Don't give up on God. He loves you. Life is just not fair and it seems like that most of the time. Just remember that you and your family are in most of our prayers everyday.

As for the 16 year, welcome to teenage hell. I have 4 kids and the youngest is 15 (and 3/4 if you ask her). Praying lots for the monsters helps.

Jayson (my husband) says the drinking age should be raised because when you have teenagers you are gonna need a strong liver.
