TT V6's and I4's are the temporary future due to gov't regulations unless we can develop a V8 that will keep up with their regulations. It feels like eventually we will have to use technology that we are using in Volt's, Bolt's and Prius' due to the regulations.

I'm not going to pretend like I'm some kind of supercar expert, I've only driven two truly fast cars in my life, an R35 GT-R, and an SLS AMG. The GT-R uses the TTV6 and awd, and the SLS uses a 6.2 liter V8 and RWD. They're very different solutions to speed, but I enjoyed both of them. Did the SLS sound better? Without question. Does that mean I wouldn't be thrilled to drive the Nissan again? Absolutely not. I'm sure the GT will be the balls to drive, and even though it doesn't have the same sound as a V8, judging by that clip it should sound awesome, just a different awesome.

Twin Turbo, 600HP....I don't see a problem. no one is crying about a GTR only having 6 cylinders.

"I don't care if I cant catch it....its only got a V6...psh..." I imagine that this is how people are going to sound when they lose to it...

Word on the street is that Ford will stop selling V8s in 2017.

Wait, so the FPC V8 will only be around for 2 years??? That seems to be a waste of development dollars. I hope that's not true.

Highly doubt that ^

I believe they will continue to push the ecoboost engines, but to drop V8 from there portfolio completely highly doubt that

Me too. What a scary thought. But apparently multiple Ford representatives were saying this at Detroit yesterday. I hope it was just a sick joke.
