I think the naysayers are missing the 600hp part. Performance doesn't begin and end with a V8. I love my V8, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate another performance car no matter what engine it has.

People also laughed at Jaguar when the XJ-220 came out until they heard that the "220" is the car's top speed. That's a TT-V6.
You guys shout "MURRICA" too hard with your V8 lust.

Any 600 HP car is not to meddled with, especially when it is in a package like the GT.

Who cares? If it makes power it makes power. Until we see the performance numbers you can make up whatever.

It could be powered by a gerbil and 99% of us will still never afford one. So why argue?

My first reaction was oh this sucks TT V6, but then I realized it could be badass and damn fast, like the GTR...

Ford should have put the 5.4 supercharged anchor from the first GT in just so people who will never be able to sit in this car won't complain about the number of cylinders.
Would i like to see a big turbo'd V8? Of course, who wouldn't? Do i think the discussions on the internet today are incredibly moronic? Without a doubt.

V8's are not the end all be all. I love em, but the fact is turbo charged smaller displacement and less cylinders are the way of the future. A twin turbo v6 is no joke.

Sorry, but the day a V8 is no longer available in a Camaro or Vette I'll be grabbing the latest model with one that I can find and it'll be my "classic" that I hold on to. There's more nearly 50 years of heritage with the Camaro and more than 60 with the Vette of being V8 powered with rear wheel drive. No doubt there's power to be had out of forced induction sixes and fours but they do nothing for me as a fan of American iron. My hope is that if or when that day comes that Chevy retires the nameplates.
