Coming from a V6 perspective I can't imagine telling a V8 person they got too much car for the street, to me that is as inane as giving a V6 person a hard time for not getting the most power possible.

I suspect GM did not decide on a V6 model just to make the EPA people happy, they knew there was a market for people who did not need/want the extra power for what ever reasons, tree-hugging or not.

For me, in bumper to bumper traffic most of the time, the sucker could have had a squirrel cage in it for most of the drive

Without a doubt. Since I've joined here, I can't believe how many v-6 threads have turned nasty because of a V-8 guy taking a shot.

I had a guy today calling the a v-6 a "granny" car. I really don't care what anyone thinks but you have to understand that some V-6 owners will lash out when dissed.

It's a damn shame.

x2

For them, I guess every daily driver car has to be twin turbo'd, supercharged, have a minimum displacement of 540ci, and over 9000hp..

Of course, there's always going to the stupid ones who would never buy a GM even if they built a 60 MPG, 400 HP sports sedan with all the latest technological advancements including a coffee maker. And those are the people that need to be
that would make the perfect commuter car or squad car lol

I did not think you had directed it at me, it is not hard to imagine some would make comments to V8's.
