Happy New Year Gang!
 It's COLD here, and since my wife is working, I'll be staying home. Going through more slides tonight and found this one of my sister. That is my mother sitting in the car.  This is one of about 200 slides from, I believe, 1960 when they went on a road trip to Miami Beach. I added some of them to the link in a post above.

Happy New Year's, gang.
So far here, it's been very, very quiet. As in the only creatures stirring in this house are me and the cat. Wife is nursing whatever cold that the youngest granddaughter brought into the house and knocked me down for a day or so earlier in the week, daughter and son-in-law are recovering from partying who-knows-where until who-knows-when, granddaughter herself hasn't made more than a peep, and even the kids'/grandkid's dog hasn't tried to perform an alarm clock function. Yet. *crash* Oops, something just got knocked over in some upstairs room, so my quiet time may be of short remaining duration. John - thanks for the shiny side/greasy side wishes. Son and son-in-law both drive 18-wheelers and I'll be sure to pass it on. Norm |

Well I did not have much success spending may of my Christmas $. Did not find anything except 1 bra I wanted. Oh. well. the $ will keep until I do. It's back to work tomorrow then the weekend. What a weird work week it is when holidays come midweek. Not complaining though.

Happy New Year guys! I attended the annual Grill 57 NEW Years cruise in. It started out cold at low 30's and by mid day it was mid 50's. 3-400 cars at least!! Will have pics later , still uploading. I usually take my 49 Chevy truck but I wanted to show off the New SS..Hardly anyone even noticed it .. lol. I saw a new Z/28,Z/06 and a Hellcat all parked together. Lots of classic as well as many new muscle cars there.

Didn't get out of the 40's here today. But it appears the end of this cold snap is ending soon!
We met some friends at Arribas today. It is a Mexican Restaurant with 6 locations here in the valley. Had a great time as usual and we all came back here to our house for dessert.

It will be a warmer but rainy day here today & continuing into tomorrow. They sprayed that brine crap on all the roads for some bizarre reason over the last 2 days so our DD's will get thoroughly salinated. Grrrrrrr! Coffee time now. HAGD all.
