GEN 6 ZL1 Gets LT4

The 2016 CTS-V gets the LT4 so the logical choice for the next Gen Camaro ZL1 is the LT4.

I am doing the same! Hate to wait another year though and pay 20% more.

The new ZL1 won't be out for a couple more years. So buy one now then upgrade when the new one comes out. That's what I plan on doing in the spring. I love my CTS-V but when the lease is up in the spring the new CTS-V is going to be out of my financial range so I'm going with the ZL1 and by the time that lease is up I'll step into the next gen. At least that is my plan. I thought of the ATS-V but I just can't bring myself to buy a V6, even if it is fast.

With a 15% take rate on the sedan and coupes it is not a surprise the manual didn't return. I love manuals, but I understand.

From Motor Trend:

Curious note about CTS-Vs and manual transmissions. Approximately 15 percent of the sedans and coupes sold have three pedals. However, 30 percent of the wagons -- around 450 out of about close to 1,400 -- are manuals. Makes perfect sense to me. I just wonder what's wrong with the 70 percent who went for the auto.

If it doesn't debut with the manual I don't see it getting it in a couple of years. Matter of fact I think more people will be asking for either DCT or AWD moreso than a manual in the CTS-V.

Sigh.
I love cool wagons, but America's love with CUV/SUV has killed wagons and stopped cool wagons from Audi, BMW, Mercedes, etc. brought over because they will not sale.

Cadillac only sold around 7,000 total CTS wagons during its 4 years of prouduction and only 1,386 CTS-V wagons

The only wagon rarer is the E63 AMG.

I would do dirty things to own either one.

Hell, I saw a Jag wagon last night and double took, I had no idea they even made wagons.

Oh well.

And it's a Cadillac. The volumes aren't supposed to be able to afford it.
I meant the CTS is a volume car. My b.

That seems a little aggressive, especially considering the Z06 starts at $79,000 and the V has always been less than the Z06.

I would guess $70-75k MSRP for a no option model. The Vsport is $59,000. I can't imagine a $25,000 markup for the V.
The 2014 CTS-V was $64,900, with options taking it to $73,000
http://www.cadillac.com/cts-v-luxury-sedan.html

The 2014 CTS VSport does start at $59,990, but the CTS VSport Premium is $69,995. Add a select interior trim and the VSport cracks $70k. I would think that a "base" V would be over what a fully loaded VSport would be.

Yes! A true wagon fan! That E63 Wagon is awesome! But alas, will never see these shores. The Audi RS6 Avant either

If they do bring back a wagon I'd sell a kidney to get one. In white, all performance aero options and Recaro seats.

Are you listening Cadillac?

Great job by Cadillac while I never did care for the present CTS-V, this one looks great. This is a good preview of what the next generation ZL1 might be. Hopefully GM will get the overheating or tuning issues causing problems in the Z06 worked out before this car hits the dealers.

640 hp raises the eyebrows in the intended circles that Cadillac is competing in, the other luxury performance sedans:

While the Hellcat Charger will still be top dog as far as hp, Cadillac (or Mercedes or BMW or Lexus or Jaguar, etc) will not be trying to compete with it.
