I sent them an email to find out how the install is done. The ad states you can cut open the slot if desired. So I wasn't sure if it was just glued over the existing gills or not. Hopefully they'll get back to me quickly. Glad to hear you think they make a good quality product. They are on sale, painted, for approx $320.

I'm also look'n at some front fender ports, which do need to be cut open, yikes, a little scary cutting a hole into the side of the car. Really wish I could see one in person, not just from a photo. But I love the look of the front ports, those rear ones I just wish someone made them with three open slots.

Anyway, here's a pic of the front ones, which you do have to cut-in a pretty big hole. The Point of No Return I like to call it

This is the kit for the rear gills

That was quick, and you are correct, it does have to be cut-in, does not just lay on top of existing gills. They do have one that is glued on top and it looks horrible. This big blocky chunk of plastic. Well, it doesn't make sense to me the way they made it with only one open slot. Sure it's cheaper and easier to design and make, but not fitting to the look of the C-5.

So I may just have to checkout a fabrication shop and see what that would cost. I'd like the gills to look pretty much OE except actually have them open and an air scoop/shoot moving the air flow to the brakes. That way they'd actually be functional.

Someone out there must have already done this......

Normagene, I haven't seen any gill mods on 5th gens, other than decals or the bright molding similar to'69 Camaros.

I'll do my best to take some cell phone pics of what I drive and post up on Facebook and hopefully here. WIFI over at Westworld gets VERY slow on days where the crowds come.

My wife has a small point and shoot camera that I'm thinking about taking. Not sure when I will be able to download images off of it. Hopefully I will be able to go home early some evenings.

I'll definitely check that out. Thanks. So are you satisfied with them and would you do it again, and/or recommend them?

I saw this pic on another thread, he has both, front and rear. I love the front ones, and so so on the rear. I'd just like'm better or would at least like to see a pic of them with three slots instead of just one.

Tried finding it but I use tapatalk and for some reason your build thread isn't coming up. Not sure why.

Yeah, he will be missed. Great addition to heaven's choir.

I had a short work day then a little cooking, a little crafting & a little wrapping. Tomorrow I will make more fudge, do some house cleaning, color my hair & try to make final plans for Christmas before heading out for a nice steak dinner for our anniversary. We have been married 24 years, lived together 10 years before that & were together a year before that. Geez! We are old! Jina was 6 months old when we started dating & I was still reeling from a disastrous abusive first marriage of 3 years. That was another lifetime.

Anyway, Here is the set of jewelry I made for my daughter:

I started scanning old family slides tonight. Getting the hang of this slide scanner. Here is me on some boardwalk. I know the picture is backwards.

I agree, difficult when the parent and child get to the stage where they change roles. I was so glad I was able to take care of my mom and help her as her health got worse. Change is inevitable. Hope you will enjoy your time with your family Jan!

Zandron, enjoy Florida. It's cool and very rainy here, guess we won't have to worry about drought for a bit.........

Posting late............been busy Another Music Monday post (on Tuesday) in honor of Joe Cocker
