Actually the article 'speculates' it was one hour after delivery, although they have no facts to back this up. He was cited for careless driving which maybe is the same thing as reckless driving in that state, maybe not.

Reading comprehension much?

1st mistake is 100% believing anything the press writes, second mistake is drawing your own conclusions based off article that you didn't even read.

I am as easy as can be, I promise. But since you have no idea what the facts are, I felt that jumping to conclusions was a bit premature. The guy bought a car intended to be payed with, and he hurt it playing with it. I bought my car to be played with, and guess what, will most likely hurt it at some point playing. Its kind of the nature of the beast. Yes he did something he should not have...my question to you is can you say you have not? You and I may have gotten away with many things to this point through skill or luck or a combination of the two. Just think about the times the skill has ran out or the luck was not there for you before a comment is made.....just my thoughts!

I've always lived by this philosophy. You will never excel at anything without luck and skill. They go hand in hand, if one starts lacking failure is possible.

It was confirmed the driver was being charged with careless driving.

But either way, I dont have to read the article to add up one car accident = retard behind the wheel.

Then you don't know much about driving! No offense, but what a pompous comment! It is truly an honor to have met someone of your level of perfection.

Colorado roads can get cold, hard and slick in winter. Got to be careful when playing with a loaded gun.

Its a fact, like it or not. If you crash a car, in a one vehicle accident, you were doing something wrong.

If he was "playing" with the car this time of year, in Colorado, he's a moron. Not to mention, could have hurt someone else. Play with your toys on a track, not a public road. Dont understand why this is so hard for people to get.

BTW, I've been driving for about 25 years now and have never had a one car accident, much less running into anyone else. I have also Daly driven vehicles that most people would consider track only cars....

What irritates me the most about this idiot, is his insurance will pay for it. Then it will count as a statistic, and everyone who owns a car like this will pay more for insurance. I've rarely used insurance a couple times for other people that ran red lights and stuff and had no insurance, so clowns like this guy is why people like me pay so much.

I agree... With that being said. It is true there could be circumstances we are not aware of. Maybe a Raccoon ran out in the road and he swerved to avoid it. Either way he was still pushing a brand new car, one he was not familiar with and he should consider himself lucky that he did not kill anyone.

It's not worth arguing with these two. They know best.

Colorado Law: (1) Any person who drives any motor vehicle, bicycle, or motorized bicycle in a careless and imprudent manner, without due regard for the width, grade, curves, corners, traffic, and use of the streets and highways and all other attendant circumstances, is guilty of careless driving. A person convicted of careless driving of a bicycle or motorized bicycle shall not be subject to the provisions of section 42-2-127.

He was driving his 2 hour old, 707 horsepower car that he was not familiar with past his driving skill; therefore, it is wrecked. Spin it how you will.

I would say in most cases your comment is correct. I can promise in every one of my single vehicle situations (and most did not result in a crash) whether at the track or not, your statement would hold true. But again, since I was not there (unlike you apparently), I have no proof to back that statement up. I do not know what the road condition was (and I don't mean winter road conditions), I do not know what wildlife may have been involved, or as odd as it would seem with a two hour old car, if there was a mechanical malfunction (left rear on my wifes Tahoe threw a cap a few months ago...tire was in good shape....major damage to the truck and could have lead to an accident). All I am saying is when I don't know the facts, I choose not to throw anyone under the bus. You play it your way, I play it mine. Happy Holidays to you and yours.

Losing control due to a raccoon still qualifies as doing something wrong. Too fast for conditions.....

Happy holidays!!!!!

Everything you stated above is why I don't play on the street. Can pop a tire, gravel on the road, animals, other dumb drivers....stay alert, and stay actively engaged in operating a car.
