Dodge Hellcat vs Corvette Stingray Video

Saw this a few places today, not anything we could not have known ahead of time. Not a Z06, but still that Hellcat is scary:

I'm very surprised how the Stingray did actually after all the hype.

Look, I am a Chevy guy through and through. That Hellcat is a wild product and bad ass. I don't really care about 1/4 mile times and top end speed. Still, that car caught the base Stingray at the end of a run, it's impressive.

Agree, let's do some turns and the Vette will win and I think the 1LE would too.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I agree with you in that the base Vette did pretty good hanging with it to 115 MPH. 11.2 sec car vs ~12.0 sec car

Hellcat was playing catchup the whole way. Didnt the GT500 do the same thing with the base C7?

Someone get a stock GT500 vs a Stock Challenger Hellcat (Auto or Manual).

The Hellcat is hard to launch correctly. In a perfect world with perfect drivers, the Hellcat is quicker to 60 and every other straight line speed metric.

Hellcat is 3.6 to 60 and the Z51 is 3.7 to 60. The vette is much easier to launch, well balanced with enough tire to plant its power.

This ^^^^

Still, it's a great time to be a muscle/power car lover. The car makers just keep pushing the envelope.
