How many people get accused of "mommy and daddy" buying a camaro for you?
No offense if they did. That's actually pretty cool. But I know it infuriates me when I hear people say that about my car.

I purchased mine when I was 25 and I still heard that.

Hi Alex! Welcome! And I have been accused. There was literally a whole thread about that. And my parents bought be mine for high school graduation. I earned it. I've been through a lot in my life. I have a slight disability. Long story. So I feel a Camaro is the least I deserve

I bought mine when for my 22nd birthday. I live on my own, saved my own cash, work a steady job and go to school. My parents haven't bought me anything since my last Tonka truck.

I still got, and get the accusation. It's just a shining example of how clueless some people are. Don't let it bother you.

Most of the time I sense its from jealousy.

But nothing beats proving them wrong and watching them retreat to their civic.

Being 25 I get accused of being paid too much. Seriously though I work in a plant with 200 other people and my car is the nicest one outside of the office parking lot (and nicer than most of those).

I'm 26, got mine when I was 25. I don't bring it to work for various reasons. Some of my friends are jealous but most just tease haha.

I get it all the time for two reasons: My car and I have been a pilot since age 16. Both are expensive endeavors and people just presume that have a rich mommy or daddy funding my adventures. I had $300 help with the down payment and that was it.

It happens a lot to my friends. Some are airplane and nice car owners, others just own a nice car. People seem ignorant about our cars. I regularly encounter people who think I dropped 45k or so on a LS. It makes me laugh

I dont think it matter's a camaro is a camaro if peaple want to think your mom and dad fund your stuff who cares everyone is entitled to a oppinion i laugh when some one says stupid stuff it shouldn't bother you
