Help with a game title -

Played a game a few times in Iraq in 2005-2006 on XBOX.
It was a driving game, you could custom paint cars, drag race, dyno, lots of tuning options.
I remember having to run "missions" and running from cops in the game also, but played mostly on a "free run" through the game.
I know it was not any of the GT games, or GTA games.
Pretty sure it wasn't any of the Forza games either, but I may be wrong.
I know my personal favorite car to drive in the game was a late model Pontiac GTO.

I would like to pick up the game to play it with my son.

Midnight club? Had a shitload of customization options. Can't recall if you had to run from police though.

Thanks for the suggestions. from screen grabs and videos based on your suggestions it looks like it was either NFS:MW or NFS:Carbon.

Are you 100% sure it had a GTO? NFS:Carbon did not have a GTO. Not to mention it was released at Christmas time 2006.

You also have the NFS: Underground series that was released right before that but both of those games only had imports and neither had cops.

Really I think the only thing it can be is NFS:MW.

Yep, I had painted it a dark pearl blue/purple and would run the drag strip test with it after tuning.

NFS:Carbon did not have a GTO.

NFS:MW did have drag racing.

At least 900% sure it is Carbon. I loved the crap out of that game, and still play it to this day (I never did beat the final boss lol).

The nostalgia is real with this thread
