That interior is awesome !!! Beats the hell out of the camaro's interior.

I like the way they worked that color into the face of the gauges themselves.

Yes they interior is leaps and bounds better from the previous model. The leather is very soft but not delicate and the plastic used for the interior is supple, not like the hard plastic in our Camaro's. The LCD readout is freaking cool as hell, in launch mode you can preset your RPM from 1500 all the way up to 7500. Stereo system is nice also.

Bad comparison being that all 3 cars in different classes. Would have made more sense if it was a zl1, I was going to say it was unfair to have the GT in there but it did better than the hellcat around the track

ZL1 already ran that track. Mark Stielow got a 1:42 lap time from the ZL1. The results would come out the same if the ZL1 was thrown in the mix.

I still think the Viper hood looks out of place.

Well when you get to see a Hellcat in person you can give your honest opinion. You cannot deny that the new interior uses better materials when compared to the previous model.

Right, but it would have made more sense comparing the zl1 to the hellcat.

How many tens of thousands of those are running around?

My comment about the auto was pointing out the fact that the two manual Failcats tested so far ran a 12.5 (Edmunds) and 12.0 (Road&Track). Color me unimpressed.
I simply can't take 2 tests a half second apart and see any real meaning in them. What did GM claim for the stock ZL1? Now there are guys running near mid 11's.

No exaggeration. Saw the '15 Challenger in the spring of '13, right down I-75 ... oddly, twice in the same day. Saw my first HellCat fall of '13, over a year ago. A couple weeks prior to the dream cruise, multiple HellCats were floating around near Woodward, I lost count, actually. I saw one in a residential driveway, pulled right in behind it to check it out. No worries. Funny thing is, we were all smiling about our love of big, modern horsepower ... no "my car is better/faster than yours" nonsense.

I agree, I don't like it. I like the shaker hood better. Not sure if the hood is needed for cooling purposes.

I am glad they decided to do away with the lame "supercharged" fender badge. The HellCat head looks way better.

Actually, A NACA-ducted hood goes back much further in FCA's history, although the exhaust vents are new:

I can't believe this thread is at 105 pages and counting.

Camaro5- the best publicity that a car not called Camaro could ask for.
