Scat pack is the new n/a king. The mustang and camaro are more of a drivers race then ever before but with the odds being in the favor of the mustang. Let's see what the 6th gen can do.

This is the key to making the 392 run well. Trying to hook 475-lbs of torque with a 245-series street tire is what is leading to all the 12:60-13:00s that you see being published. Most think they can do a better job launching the car nanny free and end up with 2:00s to 2:20s 60' times. Dodge makes it so simple no need for the antics. Simply place the car in auto-stick, leave the ESC on, launch at 1000-rpms and bang there is a 1:80-1:90 60'. It took me several trips to the track running high 12s to figure this out. I have to wonder if the same is the case for the Hellcat and the slower mag. time E/Ts.

guys - the live rear axle is faster around a track than IRS - that's a fact. The only reason why it was inferior was because of the panhard bar. With a Watts Link, a live rear axle mimics F1 suspension as both wheels contact the pavement at all times around a corner. The IRS is superior for the street where exists road quality variability (ie. potholes), and where you do not want the upsetting of one wheel to affect the other. Such road quality variability conditions do not exist on the track, ergo the live rear axel + watts link is superior to IRS for track and drag applications.
If you read between the lines in track comparisons, reviewers only complain about the Mustang suspension in S-bends, which shows where the panhard bar contributes to instability. This issue would not exist with a Watts Link.
