I think options are great as well....If Ford offers factory approved, dealer or customer installed options for this 350 that bring it to Z/28 level (tires, brakes, whatever), then I think this car will sell very well....

Customers can have options for tracking, either now or later, and from the factory with warranties and all that....

Perhaps Mustang has a strategy to compete with the Z/28 with this 350, even though certain items are not included with the initial purchase.....It would be an option that would sell more units and still be in the game with the Z/28....I've always felt that if there is a huge aftermarket for performance parts, why shouldn't the factory get in on the action....

I LOVE that I have options. If i had been in the market for a ZL1, I would've been forced to buy a car with extra coolers i don't need, and a fancy suspension setup that wasn't totally necessary for what id be using the car for.
Even if you don't track your car, fluid coolers are still beneficial. Unless of course your car is a garage queen. The "fancy" magnetic ride is what makes the ZL1 great for driving on public roads AND track use. So if you don't want a suspension good for daily driving nor coolers for track purpose what exactly are you using your car for? Please don't say car shows/garage queen.

I agree, if Ford will offer brake upgrades, suspension, etc as a dealer installed option that would be fantastic. Still get to advertise MSRP being lower than the Z/28 while giving customers the option to be a Z/28 competitor with ful factory warranty.

Honestly I tend to like mustangs more, but appreciate all American Muscle. I mean what kind of idiot doesn't recognize that gm is making some of the best chassis and handling components in the world!!!

That said, many of the comments I've seen on this board are absolutely fair and reasonable. Nice to see this on a camaro board. It's going to be great fun to see how the gt350 stacks up against the next gen camaro, which will no doubt raise the bar again.

The companies play who has a bigger one and we the enthusiasts win BIG TIME. See you all on the road, hopefully in a year I'll be in the new gt350, though the new z06 seems A-FREAKIN'-MAZING!
i think most of us can appreciate a bad ass car when we see one. GT500 and Boss 302 for example...we juts tend to lean more toward the GM side.

personally i cant wait to see/hear one of these things!

Interested to see what toyota ends up with if they bring that to production they have been working on it for few years now. Like the HUD similar to the Mini copper its a thin holographic looking piece the display the info (i believe it is just projected onto it nonetheless its a cool effect.

The color on that Vette....mmmm...would sex it up.

The second Mustang is far too extreme but the hood doesn't look too bad at all.

Give Galpin a call for pricing. It's pretty extreme, too.

I bet. I could sell my Shelby and my house and possibly pull it off....

Would like to see that hood on a normal Gt with a grille delete.
