Not a ref but a coach. Would love to see you work, we have some local officials here who think that everyone is there to watch them micro-manage the game. Pretty frustrating because we get the same officials several times a season so you can't be too critical or you will pay for it down the road. I've coached at the varsity, jv and freshman level's of high school and am currently coaching both boy's and girl's teams at the junior high. I love this age group. The kids work hard, are coachable and the parents are usually appreciative. Unfortunately, we often get refs who believe its beneath them to officiate this level... Your job is a thankless one but thank you!

Too bad you are in Arizona. Otherwise, I would invite you to come watch me officiate a high school varsity game. Whether it's at the middle school or high school level, I always strive to give the teams the "best" officiating they deserve to have. There is no level of basketball that is beneath me. I love the sport! Have played as well as coached the sport. Thank you for the kind words and good luck with your Jr. High teams!!

Odd our paths have never crossed. My son has been playing b-ball for about 9 years in San Antonio for various select teams and some school teams. Many of the local tournaments are run by Alamo City All-stars. Do you ref with them also?

If this is the League/Tournament run by Tom Brown, then, yes I have officiated numerous games for them.

Curious to know if there are any Camaro owners out there that are part-time or full-time sports officials? I, myself am a basketball official. I officiate youth leagues, mens' leagues, and am also a UIL high school official.
