Really???? Freeze warning, rain high wind & possible flurries on Halloween????? There won't be many trick-or-treaters here tonight. Got to get moving. Happy Halloween crew. Be safe.

I love that pic Normagene.

It is seriously C-C-C-Coooooold here and the wind is just brutal! The feel of it is like the middle of winter. The rains have passed through our area but it will still be a miserable evening as temps will continue to drop & winds will continue. wind chills in the low 30's. I'm glad I don't have to get out in it.

I was off work & home by 3:00 today. Got a few bags of treats ready for whatever ghouls may show up. I remember a few pretty cold Halloweens as a kid but not freeze warnings or snow. Looks like we won't get any flurries here but on the plateau & in the mountains they will.

Be safe if you are out this evening & keep an eye out for the Trickers.

Hit freezing this morning but no frost. Perhaps will get some slight rain/snow mix this weekend but hopefully not enough to bring out the plows and salt. My weekend: marking ten students and their 4th year thesis projects (oh joy review research work & paying close attention research is within approved government guidelines). Next Tuesday will have to start marking 34, 4th year design studio projects (oh damn). Cats go in for annuals next Thursday. Need to make an appointment with my mechanic to get the Camaro oil change and full inspection in the next few weeks just because I drove it about 900 miles since last November. Hopefully next week will hear from Transport company their approximate scheduled delivery of the T-Bird (November?). Most likely delivered during the first blizzard of the winter! Only $2,650 USD transport in enclosed container, plus customs clearance, plus about 18% Canada taxes (plus and more plus). Oh what the hell, at this point don't care as I can peek at the car under its newly arrived car cover during the next 5-6 months (LOL).

Filing a complaint with your pool company... Be specific regarding dates, times, issues & quote specific prices, contracts with anything you received I writing from the pool company. Quote previous emails and phone conversation's with dates, etc. Send formal complaint to pool company registered mail (proof of filing complaint), be specific as to what kind / type of compensation you are requesting (don't just complain..be specific and justify). Then wait 10 additional business days before you file with local BBB and your States Attorney General office (must copy both with your documentation sent to the pool company). If you don't consider this advice, perhaps expect to get jerked around for the next 12 months. Been there done that and can attest I have been able to resolve my past consumer claims within two months.

Back pain, see the doctor because sometimes back pain can be the result of other health issues not specific you your spine. Back pain can be the result of anything from change of weather (I have that issue) to cancer. If you have health insurance use it.

John can you post a picture of your corvette , I bought a new one when I was 19 still love corvettes. I was at a town near my cottage with my 70 Camaro when a gentleman on a bike chased me through town . He said him and two of his friends each bought one and they still have them , when he saw my he wanted to get it running again . A couple mths later where I live , I ran into friend number 2 . He mentioned the other two , now when do I run into number 3 . We took the 70 to Fbody show at the corvette museum a few yrs ago, pretty much non stop except for fuel LOL Rick good luck with the pool company

Dang! Now they are calling for wind chills around 28 degrees by morning. The wind is blowing so hard it sounds like the house is about to come down. Geez! It is fall yall! I hope this is not an omen for the sort of winter we are going to have.

It's supposed to be in the lower 40s here in west central Florida. Woe is us. No snow though. But seriously, we are from Northern Vermont, so we are very familiar with cold and snow. I even miss it on occasion. Y'all stay warm, ya here.

It was 81* here during Trick or Treat Time, had about 30-40 T or T'ers come through.

I'm in the mood for some top-down driving, so I think the Camaro will be driven to a cruise tomorrow.

Skip, find a hobby. Lots of car activities going on out here! Or volunteer somewhere.

For the first time ever we did not even have one trick-or-treater. I did not think we'd have many but figured at least a few would brave the cold. Wimps! I marched in freezing rain in shorty shorts when I was young and my hands froze to my flag pole. Oh, well. I guess they found warm places to have fun.

I am going to go to a dance exercise class today at the little local gym. For sure it won't be a solution to my problem of getting moving again but maybe I will meet some folks who could be exercise buddies or learn about some more options out there. Gotta start somewhere.

Have a good Saturday crew!

50 degrees last nite for the kids, but hubby was very very disappointed, only like a dozen kids came over. He bought like 90 full size bars so the last two or three kids he told em to take like a dozen each!

He makes a huge event out of it, has a couple friends help out, and yes he chases them out with his Chain Saw . Some of the kids come over a few times just to go thru it again, and he gives them candy each time! But most of the kids are grown now. Oh well, that's how it goes.

I think he has more fun than the kids do!
