The IRS in the 03/04 Terminators wasn't exactly a superstar lol

Besides, we're comparing a limited production SVT car vs regular production Camaro when it comes to initial IRS vs SRA.

The Camaro got to production IRS 5 MY's before the Mustang, that gap is significant when it comes to sorting out issues.

Good points and I really didn't mean to bust on Ford either. The Mustang had IRS first is just a bad point IMO. The Camaro benefits from its big brother Corvette. Being able to draw on all that experience has enabled the 1LE, ZL1 and Z/28 to shine on the track. Ford built a limited number of special car but they are nowhere near the same level of experience.

Kelly from BMR just posted he ran a 12.6 @ 112 1.95 60ft at Bradenton in his bone stock auto. Car weighed 3704 and was a 300a base (non-premium) model.

I didn't make that point, I was arguing with incorrect information posted by another member saying "welcome to the world of IRS Ford" as if the Mustang has never had it...despite it being a "limited edition" Mustang.

The car was (estimated) 150lbs lighter than stock. It wasn't stock for its 12.6 run.

Weld RTS Skinnies out front
2011 GT 18" rims+DR's out back
Removed Passenger Seat
Removed trunk lining.

He did however run with a full tank of fuel.

My brother did that with his bone stock 2013 M6 GTPP. Paper filter and everything. He thinks he can get more out of it but he may put his long tubes on soon since his warranty just expired.

Not impressive at all. Figured with it being 150lbs lighter it would be bottom 12's easy.

I need to go look up the DA and mph for those runs because even with a full tank that is pretty sorry. So sorry in fact I'm wondering if maybe BMR sandbagged it or something so that they can show some gains with suspension parts.

Edit: just looked it up and the best DA corrected they could have hoped for would have been 11.9 @ 114mph. Also, SVTP forum says the front sway bar was removed as well as the rear seat in addition to what has already been mentioned. Considering the fact that was a base car with the only option being a auto Trans it is clear to me the new car is in fact no faster than the old car. I think BMR realized this as well which is why they are not going to bother with bolt ons. If you notice, they are going straight to FI with a VMP TVS2300 supercharger.

12:60 after all the above is not very good. I would expect an 10-15 L99 with similar mods to be quicker than this. Apply the above to a 11-14 GT and it will be a low 12-second car. Reality is this new mustang is just not impressive at all.

Looks like the Mustang is now on the slow end of the 3 pony cars with the 392 RT running low 12 stock
