So...I'm going to guess no one in here reads the comics. I don't want to ruin anything.

I've never read the comics. Though the show does not follow the comics very closely.

It does follow them in some aspects. And also, how can you know that if you've never read the comics?

I've read online articles. Darryl and his brother were not in the comics.

Right, but the general storyline has remained the same.

And just enough gets changed so there are no spoilers. I may have to pick up the comics because I enjoy the show so much!

Norman Reedus read for the Merle part (which was created for TV as an antagonist to Rick) and after that they knew they needed to get him in somewhere. So Daryl character was born. Ironically, he's arguably become the most popular character of the TV series.

They've said all along they weren't trying to copy the comic exactly, but they did say they'd try to hang with the comic vibe, although in some instances it is spot on, while others are totally off the map (Andrea's "early" TV demise for example). They will change up to keep it interesting and fresher for those who do read the comics, and also to bring flexibility to the story due to corporate restraints ($$). Admit it, if you do read the comics, you STILL watch just to see how close it follows, or doesn't. Am I right?

The TV show is described as a parallel universe story line.

Yes, if I read the comics I would do it to see how they matched up. Like reading a book and then seeing the movie.

It was a real good episode. I think I was sitting up in my chair the entire time! Don't skip it.

Anybody figure out why Bob was alone in the woods crying? I thought maybe he got bitten at the food pantry.

Nice to see a story taken almost exactly from the comics, with a few character changes. Guess it helps that Mr. Kirkman himself penned this episode. I want to keep this spoiler free, but next week will be awesome.

I was thinking the same thing. He kisses his GF and then does it again but there is a look on his face. I immediately though, "OK, where did he get bitten?" Or maybe he was having a tough time because everyone else was drinking.
And what is up with the priest? Did he really take it hard that the girl in the pic is truely gone?

Good episode.
