closing an account of credit history is normally a bad thing. well, it really depends on how much credit you currently have. for instance, if you have a credit card that's 5 years old, pay it all off, but leave it open, it won't affect your credit. but if you call the credit card company and tell them to close the account, it gets removed from your credit history, which could reduce your overall credit score.

Yeah I think my credit will fix it's self in a few month. With closing this account my credit age went up. Just took a hit from closing an account

wish we could talk about controversial stuff on c5. curious on what people think about the situation in Indiana, about the cops asking this guy his information and to get out of the car, but wouldn't, and the cops broke the window and tased him, then dragged him out. and I guess the kid in the back got a few cuts or scratches from the window. want to make a thread.

my feeling is breaking the window might have been excessive, but when a cop asks you to get out of the car you do it. there seems to be a certain segment of the population that thinks they're the only ones that get stopped.
this, as everyone else can confirm , is not the case.

and reading more reports, there seem to be video surveillance from a cop car, showing that she was about to flee, but stopped just before a spike strip.
