Darn cops. Don't they have better things to do with their time then enforcing the law. And I'm going to take an educated guess that police in California make somewhere between $40,000 and $80,000 a year, and not six figures.

Yeah Ohio blows the Cops do have a rep! You knew that I'm guessing, and having worked in the dicey parts of Columbus I would enforce the tint laws. Sorry

Yeah what I mean by having a nice paying job is; I don't see anyone working at Dollar General "accidentally" speeding in their 458 Italia or 911 GTS!
The cops here in CT make as much as starting engineers here in CT ~ 60k + and thats not counting the overtime they get 0.o

I know what you mean. Yesterday I was going 110 in reverse through a crowded school zone while smoking a doobie, drinking a beer, and talking on my phone, and the the damn cop sitting there had the nerve to give me a ticket!

What evidence do you have to accuse him of profiling your car and pulling you over for that. The quota issue has been argued for years and if you believe that, then you should adjust your driving style with the calendar. I'm glad that you feel better to get it out but you need to get in front of the mirror and give to that guy, he's the one that caused these problems.

Going almost ten over in what I could only guess as a residential or congested area your right stupid cop pulling you over for doing something wrong....idiot. As for cops I don't know what cruisingspeed is talking about at least here you have to have some form of second level education to be accepted into the academy, and the starting pay is around 30,000.

You're kidding right? I hope that was sarcasm.

The job= LAW ENFORCEMENT, get it?

And take your educated guess to google. There is no where in CA that makes 40k..

80k is starting in most large cities, factor in overtime and such and you have 6 figures...I know many many many that easily achieve this.

Pulled Over Rant

I'm looking at a Wage Reconciliation list at a city I will not disclose. where as a police chief made 462k, a sergeant 306k, and an officer made 174k.

I have the lightest tint Z-Bart has to offer which isn't very dark at all and I haven't had a front license since I was 16 (27 now). I have had plenty of warnings about the plate but never a ticket because I think they kinda know it is phasing out in most states in the US. This guy wasn't the nicest either, no how are ya, have a nice day... I could kinda tell it was more about the car I was driving (I do have mods). Plus today is the 30th.. everyone says there is no quota to meet but I see lots of lights toward the end of the month

Just had to get that out.. thanks!
Unfortunately these cars are police magnets. I get pulled over a lot....and yes I am usually a few mph over the speed....im 40 years old and Ive lived in a few different states. I usually go 6 to 7 over in the city and 8 to 9 over on the highway. Until I got this car that was never a big deal. Now its an automatic ticket...no warning ....no slow down, just a ticket. Up until two years ago i had a total of 4 speeding tickets my whole life...in the last two years ive had 4. Doesn't matter with this car in my experience...im a yes sir and no sir person when it comes to dealing with law enforcement, still no break, just a ticket. I totally understand your frustration. Its not just the ticket its the increase in my insurance. its gone up 35 dollars a month. I had expired tags last time I got pulled over and they were going to tow my car! Whatever....anyway I totally understand and I also feel better.

This had absolutely nothing to do with the car you are in. Its a damn Camaro. Dime a dozen. Anybody that wants one can have one (maybe not new, but there are no more than any other car out there). And if you were in a Ferrari, though not as common a car, I would not think it had to do with anything but the illegal actions you had been pulled over for.

Then you were warned. I think that was pretty nice of them to give you plenty of warnings, they could have ticketed the first time for violation of the law.

Exactly. I love my Camaro too, but for goodness sake... let's be realistic.
