Just look at what some Chevy dealers are doing, its no different. You just have to find an honourable dealer. They are out there.

How does a price tag make the car a joke?

....and I thought a brazen 8 grand was a lot to add on for nothing when i saw my first ZL-1 at the showroom! 50 K???? I'd buy a '69 RS/SS with the markup alone!

they are convincing you to buy an srt because they have them and can make the deal right now. little money now is better than little more money possibly later

I think the Hell Cat is a pretty nice car. So is the Z/28.

Lesson learned-- wait a couple of years, someone will have invariably put one in a garage and will only have driven it on nice days, and some new car made from unobtainum will have caught their attention, and suddenly there's a nicely depreciated and nearly-new, well-preserved car sitting right there for a quick sale in the used market.

It still amazes me all the super low-mile, barely driven 2010-2011 SS's that come up for sale. A lot of those early 2010 cars were going for buku-bucks over MSRP when they were new, too.

Lol steady making a lightly modded ZL1 look like a steal and no hype needed.

its foolish to say the hell cat is a joke when you didn't even drive it. All you did was look at it. To say that the dealership is a joke would be much more appropriate.

Hey, if someone doesn't know how to shop for deals, go with their established trusted sales resources, and/or dicker on pricing... then who and what's the real joke?

How do you make a deal with a dealership saying there car is a rip off and you should buy a SRT or SRT8? Not to mention they were rude it was a joke.

They did the same thing when this came out! Was supposed to be the POORMANS hotrod. MSRP was supposed to be $32,000 could find one on a showroom floor wasn't marked up to $50,000 Plus.

My friend just bought the hellcat and when I was talking about it with him he insisted he bought it for msrp (60k). When I asked him about the mark ups he said he didn't have any. Idk if he was lying but he is ridiculous with hemis he has a 2008 srt8 and a 2014 srt8 from sema an it has a edelbrock e force on it and now apparently is getting the hellcat.
