Nice let us know how it is once you get it installed after deployment. I decided to spend my money on a Moto 360 instead lol

Mind telling me what you think of it once you have time to try it out? I saw one today and I'm highly considering buying one. Just concerned about the battery life on it but it's definitely he nicest tech watch out there right now

Will do, I have had it since Thursday afternoon. My initial impressions are that its a very nice watch and the build quiality is great. The battery life pretty much matches my M8, it died after 23 hours of usage (7:30am-6:30am) and right now I am sitting at 73% and its been off the charger for 9 hours with pretty light usage today.

As for Android Wear, the software still feels very beta like. It's nice but I would highly consider waiting it out till the Gen 2 makes it (if it ever does, Google has been known to kill some projects). As time goes on, I will let you know if anything has changed my initial opinion with it.

Interesting, I saw some reviews where people were saying they only got 12 hours of battery. If it gets closer to what you're saying, it'd definitely be worth it. What are your thoughts on it? Useful or gimmick?

To me, I find it useful. It helps when I am doing something in class or work to see if its something that needs me to respond right away or if it can wait without taking out my phone. This helps a lot as with work as I tend to get quite a bit of notifications. Really I personally wouldn't use it as a means of responding to messages, just to read them and for directions if I am out walking through a city I don't know.

As for battery, it is all dependent on how you use it. I have gotten maybe 20 notification since my last post and the watch has gone down 3%. Over at XDA, there have been people saying that have gone about 11 hours on just about half of its battery. The initial people who were saying it needed to be charged twice a day were full of crap.

Again I think its a cool piece of tech and I like it. Its definitely is not for everyone but as of now I am happy with the purchase.

Edit: here are some pictures on my wrist and my current watch face.

Edit 2: I will also add, do not try to justify the purchase with the built in Heart rate monitor. I have tried using it three times and out of those three times, it has never been able to get anything remotely close to what my actual heart rate is. Even with those three times I have used it, it has needed to do multiple attempts to get a reading.

May I rant about the stupidity of some people. And the fact that my life nearly flashed before my eyes.

Last night I was driving home from the tailgait at school. Traffic had cleared but the 2 lane highway I was on was pretty trafficy because it was by Tigerland. Tigerland is an area of bars/clubs. So I'm first at the light by Tigerland and there are no cars in front of me because everyone is going to tigerland. Light changes green and I take off. Mind you traffic is backed up on the opposite side. So I'm just driving when all of a sudden this truck comes our of nowhere and turns into my lane. I slammed on my breaks so hard and I ran off the road. I nearly went into the ditch. They guy driving apologized and said he didn't see me and that he was really sorry. But I thanked God that I reacted how I did, because if I didn't, I would have either t-boned him or rearened him. That would've been one serious accident especially cause I was going pretty fast. The speed limit is 45, I was going like 50 or so. But my gosh. Some people

Late night driving near college towns are always iffy when it comes to drivers paying attention. I have many scary stories as well.

Thankfully you and your car are alright!

Like I said earlier, the software still feels very beta like. Basically it notifies me of all notifications that are sent to my notifications drop down in my phone along with all my Google now notifications. For me that can include packages shipped, credit cards due, etc...

It also allows you to install apps on the watch so a twitter client can be installed, a calculator can be installed, and so on. As Android wear matures I'm positive more functionality will be included but personally I don't really want my watch to do much more than notifications. Just like Android, the software and APIs are open so anyone is free to develop for it.

Personally I find it useful daily. And to go back to the battery life, I'm still running of the charge from yesterday that I took off the charger at 12PM EST and I am sitting at 39% right now. And I wore it to sleep so I know I most have been turning it on the whole time.
