Taking a little heat from my classic car friends

I sold my 69' Nova to get my 14' SS and some of my classic friends think I should have kept it (just some ribbing). I will admit it is a different driving and owner experience but, I needed a change.

I think everyone will agree sometimes we do things just because, making changes adds some excitement to life. So what do you guys think, mistake or not? I will add I am thrilled with my new SS, it kicks aaaaazz.

By the way it had a 400 SBC, 4sp, 3.73, posi about 350 hp. Here is a pic.

If they're giving you a hard time, are they really your friends?

You should have kept it AND added the new car. I think I'd go crazy driving the same vehicle every day.

Well since you asked, I love the Camaro, however it would have been nice to keep the Nova since it's harder to replace then the Camaro. But you know that already. But welcome to the Camaro world. You know what they say, If is a BIG word, If worms had machine guns, then birds would not Fu** with them.

Really just some friendly ribbing.

I also have a 10' Harley that I totally custom-ed to change up when I want to just ride. You gotta have more than one toy, right?

Excellent upgrade. Nova suspensions suck anyway.

Sometimes you never know how much you miss the old iron until you no longer have it. So after a while, if you still got the itch, you can go back and get another one day.

Yea, know what you mean. Biggest reason was, I was starting to get the itch for putting in a LS engine and that was going to cost big $$$. Didn't want to put $30K into a $20K car.

The Nova is sweet, but I think you'll enjoy driving the new SS more.

I was in the same boat as you. I was ready for a change.
I sold my 70 SS Chevelle and a modded 2002 35th Anniversary LE Camaro SS to get into my 2013 Camaro convertible.
A lot of my friends with classic muscle just didn't understand why I decided to go "new school". No regrets here.
