I been working since I have been 14.

So I guess it have been more like 12 years. I lied. Because I took 3 years off to work in HR. Then went back.

I am just use to combining the years together.

but if you want turtles. I would suggest a tortoise. speaking from experience, cleaning out a turtle tank is a PITA.
