Bah. Reading back over this post makes it seem like a lot more work than I would want to do. Maybe I should just pick up a used 2.4 and thrown a Hahn turbo on it.

bah. 8.5 cr? if you plan on putting that motor in, plan to FI it as well. or swap the bottom end out and bump the cr up to around 10-12:1 and have a screaming N/A powerplant.

as for it not needing 400+ hp...

id dd a 2600hp dragster everyday if I could afford the gas.

oh.... and thought you might like the looks of this sticking thru the hood...

www.machinetechracing.com

check out their LS1's

Hope everybody is having a passable hump day.

its still muggy up here.

Heh. I need MPG at least in the 20s because it would be my DD.

Meaning an LS2 would be out, but an LS1 would work. Or a low compression small block.

low compression doesnt = gas mileage. look at the LT1 4th gens (that weighed more than the sky/solstice by ~6-700 lbs running 10.5-11.1:1 cr and easily got 25+mpg (thru 4 speed autos mind you)

power to weight. if you can make enough power to move yourself while keeping the revs low, you'll save the gas.

400hp in a 3000lb car.... as long as you arent laying into it, you'll be fine on gas mileage

Definitely came from my Dads side. He sawed my bike in half once.

But yes. Child protective services would have raised an eyebrow and AT&T would have hidden in the bushes but been happy to see that little phone in peices so I could buy another.
