I like the concept overall but the backend needs to be smoothed out (I don't like those big gaps), it needs two-per-side tail lights (which have been on every corvette since the C2s started), and it needs headlights more along the lines of the C6.

Make those three changes, and it will be pure sex.

GM...make it like this and we'll buy it!

WOW! The design is incredible... would have to live in a van down by the river to pay for it. I'm ok with that.

Is this going to get 230 MPG too? Hee hee.

Tell her, she got the Camaro, now it's your turn

I would love it if they based the C7 off of the concept but the complete back half of the car will need to be redone. For one they aren't allowed have the split rear window anymore.

The talk of more exotic materials worries me just a bit. I really hope the C7 isn't priced out of reach of former C6 buyers....

There are a few things about the Stingray concept that cannot be done....roofline is WAY too low for driveability...even by Corvette standards, and the split rear window has to go; driving hazard. There's no trunk or hatch, and no fuel door.

There are other things that I imaging would have to change, but think Concept to Production headlights for Camaro...that level of change. These things include the cove vent, A-pillar (maybe), headlights, taillights, and tailpipes.

Expect some cues from this car to make it onto the C7. It was a design study for GM designers. They were told "think Corvette" and this was the outcome of their combined thought-process. So to simplify -- that concept is what GM sees when they think "Corvette".

HOWEVER --- FROM ED WELBURN HIMSELF -- that concept WILL NOT be produced as the C7 Corvette. He says the C7 will be "even better". So for critics, there is hope, and for admirers...it's only gonna get better!

For reference...Mr. Welburn also said "it's even better" when asked how the Production Camaro compared to the concept.
