Next spring with cars in the hands of us car guys I'm sure both Cats will hit the numbers that Dodge has posted, Dodge is letting out info a bit here and there keeping the interest in the Challenger I'm sure that we will find out about the 6sp car soon enough.

Someone started a rumor (perhaps a dealer looking to cash in on market adjustments) that there would only be 1200. The CEO has attempted to debunk this on numerous occasions though, saying that they will build as many as are ordered, and had speculated on more than 3000 to be built for 2015.

Also, I don't believe the Scat Pack has the 6-pot 15.4" Brembos as an option... I think that's SRT only as well, but I'd have to look it up again to be certain.

It's nice not to have to compromise on power to get the brand you want - each has beastly machines. I generally like Ford, but I'm pretty sure I'd take a ZL1 over a GT500.

Joe just curious is all so answer me this, GM had a press release with the ZL1 running 11.90 and change correct? I know thats not the big show/marketing/NHRAcertified that dodge is doing with the hell cat, but an official document from GM did say the car ran 11.90 correct? Now the ZL1 has been out for a while and some owners have hit that or bettered it with a stock car so we know it is possible. How many magazines got close to it? Would/were you this upset that magazines couldnt get the 11.90 that GM said the car had hit? Or is it only a big deal bc Dodge is making such a huge deal about certified times and GM did not

You are correct. I think I was just wishing really hard that it did. I have it on my 2012 SRT and I like it. It has the brembos but not the 15.4 like on the hell cat. They are the same ones I have on my 2012 SRT. Thanks for making that correction I hate misinformation no matter whos giving it including me.

Maybe in a few years I might get me a used Hellca to put in the stable. Not that I'd get rid of any of my Camaros to make that happen, but if I end up with one, I doubt if I'd get a new one. Depends on how limited they are.

Are you stock?

If you are stock then you will need to post up your time slip. If that 12.1 stock time is true, you will be the fastest stock 392 Challenger. SRT8Tech currently has that title with a 12.2.

I have heard of some bone stock 392's running better than my 12.2 but I have never seen the slips nor have they ever surfaced. I would not doubt if there are some running 12.1's. Im near 100% positive I could have done it if I had kept the car. Would not have been easy at all (neither was the 12.2 runs) but I think its possible in the perfect conditions.

I guess some guy in a 2013 SuperBee has run an 11.9 @ 117 with just drag radials.........Do I believe it.....HELL NO!!!!

Kinda like the GT500 owner claiming to have run the 1/4 in 11.25s, bone stock. I later discovered that he was running in DA of about -900 (or so?) and may have been running 109 octane fuel. Still a great run, but it has remained unduplicated and is still a statistical outlier.

Dafuq you talking about? How is -900 DA his fault... does he control weather now? Also, pointless to run 109 octane in a stock car. Please point out the source to your info.

You don't NEED to rely on GM P.R.-generated words. There was a VIDEO posted of it. Within moments of it happening. NOW, for the same effort, some clown wants us to PAY to see time slips and video. IF it exists, WHY wouldn't it already be seen/playing on ALLPAR, or challengertalk? Makes you go 'hmmmm", doesn't it? Is Mopar so tight for money they need a CAMARO site to pay for their MARKETING? Or...is a "plant" just trolling? Who professes to want to share "FACTS", then proceeds to do a worse job of that than the magazines he rails about...

My true disdain with all this is: There is a CONCERTED effort to consciously PROMOTE the Hellcat vehicles on camaro5, because someone in Auburn Hills (or Italy) has deemed potentially butt hurt ZL1 owners as targets for potential "conversion". And it strikes me as a disciple of this fine site that someone wants to convert the "christians" over to "allah". (Note no caps used on "either").

You DON'T see this amount of attention paid to Ford sites of any size-stripe-description. Why? Because, when all the time slips roll in for currently-embargoed 6-Speed Hellcats' results, they'll struggle to match the GT500. FACT!

So, as demonstrated here by certain people, "Nah-Nah-NaNah-Nah! You only turn 12s!!" gets a little tiresome after 90 (combined) pages. "Watch our tail lights!" REALLY?

First, I do NOT recall Camaro Comrades raiding-raping-pillaging Mopar sites when the ZL1 came out...for 90 pages on a Mopar site. Didn't happen.

There's an absolute One-Trick CLYDESDALE that, for one brief shining moment, happens to set astounding 1/4-mile times AS AN AUTOMATIC-only, and those fans feel they have to beat their drums HERE.

Talk about "sooo high school".

How many times can they continue to ask, after admission is given, whether the ZL1 has ever "officially" run times better than 11.9s? Ad nauseum is the apparent Italian-Latin answer...

Mopar muthas should NOT expect the same "treatment" from "us" when the Automatic Z06 OBLITERATES the Hellcats' times. "Not the same sort of car", they'll whine. "Faaaar more money!", they'll complain.

To themselves. 'Cause we WON'T be "over there". Why would we? We didn't, before. Did we? "Let the results speak for themselves", we're scolded. REALLY? We did that since the ZL1 came out. And we'll do that when the Z06 arrives. And the much-lighter, much more-capable Gen-6 ZL1 arrives.

Because "that's the way WE roll..."

One-trick CLYDESDALE. They HATE that descriptor. Despise it! So much so that they've sent fresh emissaries, here, to try and silence US on our own damn SITE.

"High school", indeed. Bunch of schoolyard bullies. Typical Sergio "BELIEVE every word I say" b.s. (small case, as per him).

Viral marketing...that's got to be VILE.

Did I FULLY answer your question?
