GAS
I'm curious as to which brand of gas you are using. The book calls for nothing less than 91 octane. Any recommendations on this?

I've been filling up at Wal-Mart for the past 11 years with no problems.
I used to drive a tanker. They get their fuel from the same pipeline everyone else does. The myth that they buy "old gas" is NOT true. I use their 93 octane exclusively. My Monte Carlo's and Camaro's loved it and now so does my Z51 C7.

I noticed the Exxon where I buy my gas had a filler truck while I was there. The truck had no Exxon markings and the driver door had a distributor name I did not recognize. So my question is :: is there actually Exxon gas or do distributors just supply gas to many different branded stations?

I can only speak about Arkansas....being in this work for 36 years we had to escort the gas trucks- back in the day (55mph speed limit truckers strike) all the gas comes from a bulk station outside NLR and it doesn't matter whose truck lined up they got the same fuels- octanes were separated but that's all........

You ARE CORRECT ASPTroopa1.
One more thing to add... the pipeline adds red dye for agricultural diesel fuel.

Union 76 and Costco premium. Most important, use a top tier fuel as it has detergents that direct injection does best with.
