What's not to like? Yes, the Hellcat is very heavy at 4400lbs but they were clear about overcoming it with sheer horsepower and it appears they have done so. The styling is still very cool. The muscle car styling just never gets old.

I guess the question is, when will this stop? 800 horsepower? 1000hp? These cars are already way too powerful for the street. I think Chevy is investing in the right areas. Make these muscle cars handle even better by reducing weight and optimizing the suspension. The handling improvements in the Camaro 1LE, ZL1 and Z28 are fantastic. We won't need 700hp if we lighten up the chassis a bit and throw an LT1 in the mix.

I think the market is begging for a powerful lightweight sports cars. Imagine a FRS/BRZ with 350 horsepower. Too bad we have the vette already because a $30k 2800lb rwd car with 350hp would sell like hot cakes right now.

I don't understand all these ZL1 owners on here worring about the Hellcat I would rather take my track ready ZL1 and put a few bolt on's into it and have more hp then the Hellcat and be lighter better balanced and most likely faster then the Hellcat, the Hellcat is still a Challenger it is top heavy it is 4500 lbs and if you noticed what I noticed was those skinny little rear tirer's no thanks I am a Camaro lover and will always be a Camaro lover had them my whole life and don't see myself in one of these elephants so keep it Dodge!!!!!!

Put somebody behind the wheel who actually knows how to drive for a much better review.

That would be my dream guess.

They overcame the weight with sheer horsepower?
Not really.Weight is an issue with all aspects of a car.
Your other points are valid.

We haven't seen anything about the six speed car. I know they want to show off the fastest version of the car but come on. Some of us won't buy a automat if muscle car.

lol, there's so much chatter on Viper Forums about the 5G Viper not having an auto, I'm sure SRT wants all 9 billion people on earth knowing the Hell Cat has one! Personlly, this new trans is good enough, might get me out of a manual, first one since '93.

Well, yeah I guess it still weighs 4400lbs. What I meant was with that much horsepower and torque it shouldn't feel so heavy.
