Those calculators are not accurate.....They never worked for me when compared to my time slips...There is so much more than just weight and peak hp...The hellcat makes 411 ft lbs of torque at 1200 rpms. I'm guessing it has one hell of a flat torque curve which makes weight go away....

It will be fun to see how it does off the dyno and on a standing mile or longer to do the 200 MPH.
Man,...that A8 shifts CRAZY FAST!!

I mention them as two relative examples. Think about it

I understand the calculator is not accurate yet it predicts a time very close to the Dodge claim. The ZL1 is given to demonstrate its unrealistic. Those weights don't include driver!

A 3300 lb ZR1 with a much better power to weight ratio generally does not run as fast as the Hellcat claim.

I picture the Hellcat hooking like the Charger in Fast and furious to make those runs. Front wheels two feet off the ground

The real numbers seem to be in the 11:70s-12:00s range, which from everything I read is about the normal times for the car.
We will see where the Hellcat shows up when it hits the streets and local strips but I suspect its 100% stock fast list will be much more impressive than this one.
The person who ran it admits that it was likely a hero run and he himself has not duplicated it despite several attempts.

Most of the great times we've seen posted have been 11.3-11.5 with a bulk of owners running high 11s.

I suspect on a prepped track we see 10.99s from the Auto and 11.4-11.5s from the Manual.

I never put much faith into the E.T.'s predicted in a HP/Speed calculator as there are just way too many potential variables, but MPH can be very accurately predicted with one.

1) Edmunds test the 2013 Corvette ZR1 with 5.2 lb/HP and ran 11.5s @ 126.1 with 0 to 60 MPH of 3.6 sec.

How does the Hellcat run 11.2s with 0 to 60 of 3.5s with 6.2 lb/HP?

2) I saw someone post a theoretical ET calculation for the Hellcat based on weight and power. Calc says Hellcat is 10.7s but the same calc says ZL1 is 11.2s.

The ZL1 is nowhere near 11.2s so how does the Hellcat run 10.85?
the ZR1 should trap 130mph with 635fwhp@3700lbs(driver incl)
the Hellcat should trap 125 with 707fwhp@4650(driver inc)

But somehow, amazingly.... If you add 180 lbs for the driver, this one calculates the Hellcat's claimed DR time exactly! It's another suspension of disbelief moment.

You're comparing magazine test runs to Dodges claim. There have been stock ZR1's in the 10's

I understand that too. Fastestlaps lists it as 10.7 s @ 133 mph. 10.85 is right there!?!

Does the GT500 have an Automatic with killer electronics? No.

Does the ZR1 have an Automatic with killer electronics? No.

Does the Hellcat run high-11s with a Stick? Yes.

Is the hero time for the Hellcat run with an Automatic and killer electronics? YES! YES! A 1000 TIMES YES!

Just wait for the LT4-engined Z06...with Automatic and killer electronics... It won't need DRs to run 10s.

some of the time has to be because off the computer and how it manages wheel slip.
