I got my drivers license in 1969, I basically grew up on these ads and dreaming of owning many of the cars shown so far...
Well done people, carry on!

My dad had a 69 442 W-30 he bought brand new back in the day, special ordered with a Toranado Color and Picked it up right at the plant. Everyone that knew my dad's W-30 has told me it was just an insanely fast factory freak of a car.

is Shaffe part of your name? my last name is Shaffer. My dad bought his off the show room floor at the dealership, was supposed to be some kind of special edition, not sure what that was supposed to be. he said he drove if off the sales floor himself, said the glass in that place was vibrating like you wouldn't believe. I know my dad regrets trading it for a pick up three years later. me and my brother were mere tykes at that point he thought the pick up would work better for camping, he figured out later that we loved muscle cars and knew it was a mistake. I have some vivid memories of that car. if my dad had it to do over he probably would have kept it. wish I had the resources to buy a resto-modded one. wish I could surprise my dad. he is sick and not sure I have enough time to make that dream come true. unfortunately.

Yep, last name is also Shaffer. (glad to see you spell the right way also!!! haha)

Dad also regrets getting rid of his 69 W-30, sold it when he got drafted into the Army. I would love to be able to track his 69 down if it still intact one day for him.

Hope your dad gets better

thanks Shaf here is a pic of my dads, my mom recked it twice and I am not sure this is the original hood. one of only three pics we have of it. it was gold but looks green in the pic, must have been overcast.
