A complete joke. The application went in the trash, but I saved my non- refundable $300 roll of the dice. |

I have my little LCP in a wallet holster either in the center console or tucked between seat and console, if I'm carrying.

I used to attach my holster on the gap between my steering wheel and the plastic in my Monte, haven't tried in this car yet, normally it's tucked under my left thigh (luckily I hang a little to the right), and when I was pulled over the other day it was in my glovebox. XDM40.

If you want to have it on your person, get a cross draw holster.
I always have mine in a leather IWB holster (so I can wear it when I leave the car), and tuck it between the passenger seat and center console. I'm tall and with my longer arms its much more accessible there than between the drivers seat and console. Having it in the glove box... might as well put it in the trunk. Also, I keep a reload magazine in the drivers door pocket.

S&W M&P 45c with full Apex DECAK .Between the pass seat and console in a Bladetech kydex IWB holster ,loaded with my own hand loads . 45ACP ,230 grain Hornady XTP over Hodgdon Longshot in new Remington primed and sealed brass at 986 fps . Colt 6920 M4 in trunk with 3 30 round P mags loaded with Black Hills M262 mod 1 77 grain SMKs. I often carry cash from the shop and the shop is in a bad area and I ain't taking any chances. I love living in a free state ( Arizona) .Was the 101st CCW issued in AZ way back when. Also firearms are my life long hobby .in that spot , You can really hit the corners and it never moves .

I carry my Kel-Tec P3AT either Mexican carry, IWB in the small of my back, or if I'll be driving for a while, I put it in the door pocket.

Xdm with factory plastic holster will clip to the trim under the steering wheel.
Or Xds in same place or in the door perfectly.

I haven't seen much of an option in the 14's. There isn't enough room between the seat and console. The door pocket is not very large or accessible. Since I leased my car I don't want any permanent mods. I was thinking about taking a holster, riveting some Velcro to it and sticking it to the carpet just in front of the driver seat for when I'm driving. If I can't take it somewhere then it's locked in the glove box or trunk. I'll have to do a test and see how well the Velcro would stick to the carpet. If that does not work I'll make a custom clip for my holster and slide it up under the center console or possible under the dash.
Great thread BTW. We had a similar one going on a Subaru board. |

Steering column mount is another option. Gum Creek makes one

That we should not talk publicly about CCW.
Anyway, the Velcro idea will not work. However, my Elite holster and clip will attach to the panel just under the steering wheel. It will slide down when you insert the firearm and pull back when you retrieve it but it will NOT pull off because of the lip on the inside of the panel. The holster can also be removed easily if you want. Now the tough part is my other car....! |
