5) are we still of the opinion it will avoid the gas guzzler tax?

Thanks for sharing all this with the Camaro community.
Looks like the price includes GG tax as well according to Motor trend and a few other websites.

I agree completely. Can't argue facts. If it wasn't for jeep and Ram Chrysler would have been gone long ago.

Yeah. GT-R STARTS at $101,770. (The only options are paint, cold weather and some interior goodies.) The Nismo is the one you want though.

The Z06 will probably start around $80,000. Hopefully the Z07 package is standard on this gen instead of a $7500 option. That ride is going to be insane. Cant wait to see them on the streets.

Honest, have not looked at GT-R's in a long time. 100k?
Buy a house instead, F that.

Its wild. Vipers are 100K, Vettes are 100K and GTRs are 100K. Pricing just keeps going up, up, up.

New ZL1 MSRP is Over 56K. Hellcat is 59. If you can add enough mods with 3K congrats.

As for my comment You need to look at Lowdowns comments otherwise your comment on mine is out of context.

macwest, the point is GM did it and created a bona fide Z/28...not me, or you. Where's Mopar's Dodge Challenger T/A answer?

[crickets]

Making 2+ tons run like a hot scalpel through soft butter on Mulholland Dr. is a fool's bet. Easier to "pump up the jam" and go put the shivers in a Shelby...or a Chebbie...

707 hp!!!

NHRA vs. NASCAR. And who watches more of which?

Good Guys gave up on drag races, but my buddy Trent keeps VERY busy on GG weekends running the AutoX. Tell Sergio the market has changed...

The ZL1 MSRP is $55,650 but new lot cars can be had for less than $52k. I just bought one for ~51,900 (0% financing) in April and felt I over paid when others post lower purchase price.

Interesting... Car and Driver just reported (4 hours ago) that the Hellcat with manual will have a base price of $60,990

The GT and c6Zo6 both created automotive porn addictions

And now this hellcat is bringing out the auto equivalent of Y2Kers

loosen up and enjoy the shit show. ..You'll have your laughs when the c7z06 bends everything over the proverbial bed and has a field day.

If I am correct that includes destination charge the other did not. No matter how you slice it a 700Hp car under factory warranty. I like it. My 2010 just about nothing is under warranty so if something goes I am on the tap to pay.

I'm amazed they got this car done for $59k and supremely impressed. Dodge has officially whooped Ford and Chevy with this thing. This is now THE muscle car to have at that price range. In fact, is there any faster new car within even 20k of it? It looks great, will definitely cruise extremely smooth and runs TENSSSSS BONE STOCK WITH WARRANTY! I'm sorry but if you buy a ZL1/GT500 over this then you just don't get it.

No doubt Ford will have an answer for this maybe within a couple years. GM needs a Camaro answer that I suspect we won't get. Too much focus on handling that you'll never get to use on the street. My 99 Subaru Legacy wagon barely can go to its edge of handling on public roads. You'll never get a ZL1 there. I'd love to hear all about a ZL1 owners track times from a football field away in a Hellcat. Wake up GM, release the kraken and make a 800hp camaro, seriously. Then just take the 1LE concept and rename it to Z28, bang.

Looks like a SS or 5.0 remain the best mid level buy but for the high level cars the Hellcat very easily dominates.

In truth do I like the Hellcat, Hell Ya! Do I want to take one down the strip and smoke tires and turn fast ET's, for sure. Could I live with it everyday? Probably not.

I'm not taking anything away from it but let's be real, anyone with a ZL1 or GT500 can pulley swap, tune, CAI and be there. IMHO, I feel the same way about the GT500 against my ZL, if I add a CAI and take my car psi to 14 as well I'm going to be right there or at least it'll be a drivers race. Most people don't buy a car on a single metric so while it may defer some sales I really don't see it having a huge impact and I'm looking forward to the competition.
