I don't have answers to any of these questions ...lol

......There was a rumor that the Dodge guys did better than that

I will say though that the Hellcat looks like a good well put together product. IF I had the money I would pay 65k for it. Just saying the Hellcat has quality and with a price below 60k I think they will be the boost Dodge needs. Also having this in the Charger may of helped the pricing.

Suspension of disbelief. The SRT crowd is delirious from their joy.

1) any Joey can put on drag radial and cut a 10.85s 1/4 with a manual while high? No disrespect to Rawlings...love the show!
2) Dodge ran even faster times but hasn't released them?
3) We'll see 10's from the Hellcat on stock rubber?
4) ...from an inside source saying the real surprise is that it also out performed the GT500 and ZL1 on a road course.
5) are we still of the opinion it will avoid the gas guzzler tax?

Thanks for sharing all this with the Camaro community.

Today Dodge announced that the Hellcat will have a starting MSRP of $59,995. Not pennies, to be sure, but that’s a heck of a lot of 10.80 ETs on slicks for the money. The list price includes the gas guzzler tax ($2,100 gas-guzzler tax; $1,700 if you get the eight-speed automatic), but doesn’t include destination fees, or what we expect will be a hefty dealer mark-up.

Thank you for this update. Congrats to Dodge on the realistic pricing. Yet another blow to the anti-Dodge/Hellcat crowd in this post who made predictions of 75-100k. Pricing is right inline with the 500 and ZL1 and 15k cheaper than the Z.

So now we are just waiting to hear from the Mag's and to find out if the Challenger can handle the curves. So the prices of the cars are much lower than expected and you can get a RT 392 Shaker for less than the Core I think I had seen 38k.

GM will need to do something with the Camaro

...and top speed. A pre-production model hit 202 MPH in testing. Would love to see where that final number is on the production model.

Ask Ralph. Others did, in Carlisle, on the weekend...and I know how to access the garage @ Featherstone & Doris Rd...

Dave, we get that you're strong on this car (what's your handle, again?). But FACTS don't support your "rumors".

How in God's name, on skinnier OEM tires, is a 6-Speed Manual Dodge with an OEM/EPA-compliant tune and the same or slightly worse weight-to-power as the vaunted GT500 going to beat it by 1/2 a second in the 1/4-mile? REALLY?!

The "phat" times are with a well-integrated electronic-controlled AUTOMATIC, and now even Jalopnik is stating "stock, runs 10s!"...even though at least DRs are required. Gas Monkey is EXACTLY that...NOT a renowned drag racer of any repute, anywhere...and an "entertainer". Paid to "promote". Anything he says without 3rd party video confirmation is "for entertainment purposes, only!"

So NOW, "put a monkey in the seat and you can run 10s off the showroom floor" is what the "REAL" story is?!

I'm from Missouri...

If something is a rumor I say it...if it's a fact I say it....

So far one of my rumors turned into a fact...$59K.....

People asked Ralph and he said 11.8?......rumor for now...by you...

Didn't hear that on the largest Challenger Forum in the world...fact....

I did say we will wait and see so don't act so paranoid....it's only a Hellcat
