Got to drive the new Stingray on track today.

I contacted HOD a couple months ago about getting my feet in the door as an instructor(their called coaches with them)as they were at Fontana this weekend. I cant make most of their venues, but im only 7 miles form Fontana. Turns out there was a Stingray or two there. I got to take an already warmed up(tires as well)ride at speed on the track. Now i have so many laps around Fontana, and i knew i only had 4 laps in this ride, so i let her fly. Since i have a car that i can actually compare this to, unfortunantly i really cant do that. The nannies were on, and obviously not being familiar with the car, but i did like the brakes and it was pretty damn cool to be behind the wheel. Sorry no video, as i didn't know anything about this.

Got to do this with HOD on the East coast. I thought it was really fast, you could feel the active diff working, brakes like you mentioned, and it pulled like a mule. Loosing some weight and the added aero really make it a winner.

So today HOD sent me out with some stupid ass rich kid(26ish)from Europe in a Lamborghini. I loved the car, man i would like to put one through it's paces. He almost took us out, he was way out of his element, and as i was showing him the line(this is point bye passing by the way)he dives under and unsuspecting car and makes one of the worse moves i have ever seen, and im in the passenger seat. He is probably 30 MPH too fast on top of it, im screaming all over the place arms flailing. This would of been a major incident, and pretty sure i wouldn't be writing this right now.

He gets black flagged with me in the car, we go in and have words. I told him he needs to back down like 30%, of course he didn't. Coming out of 2 at Fontana at i imagine 145 hard on the brakes and a bottle of water appears from the back hitting the dash board, i quickly grab this and threw it down the back stretch where no cars go, could you imagine if that got to his feet. As well at this turn a couple times were in there at probably 80-90 and should be around 40. My life flashed (not really but the point has been made)before my eyes, this too would of been MAJOR. After this we went in and i got out of the car, and he was forbidden from driving anymore and left.

Always been interested in HOD but it's expensive stuff for 20 minutes. Seems like fun though and is the only way I'll ever drive anything that nice.

Roorback ... you get way more than 20 minutes. You get 5 sessions at 20-30 minutes each depending on the track. Very worth it sometime.
