Hello from Texas

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to make a quick intro because I see myself being on here for a long time. I've lurked around these boards because I've always wanted to own a Camaro and this site has some of the best information on the net.

I recently move to Texas for oilfield work and I couldn't be happier. Wish I had known about this area years ago when I graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh with my Management & Leadership Bachelor's Degree. By the way, I grew up in Troy, Michigan and went to school in Pittsburgh. If anyone is looking for work that pays well I would recommend that you take a look at West Texas or Southern Texas because the economy here is booming.

I currently live in Odessa Texas and I work for a drilling company. We do directional drilling and pull the casing through for pretty much any company in West Texas. The money is excellent and the benefits are superb.

Anyways I don't want to bore anyone to death, but I'm in the market for a 15 1LE or 15 Z/28. Deciding factor will be which will make a better DD but keeping in mind that this is a keeper car. I know government regulations will be killing off these V8 monsters in the future and American to me will always mean that deep throaty sound. Most likely I will purchase my car after the Auto Show because I am interested in what the 16 models will look like.

With that I hope that I can learn more and get to meet some great Camaro enthusiasts on here.

Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.
