why should I think closer to 640rwhp? 126mph points to 615rwhp which is right in line with a 15% drivetrain loss. 640rwhp would mean either Dodge is underrating the motor or they have developed the most efficient automatic transmission ever made at 9% loss

Yep, I remember that run at Infineon raceway (they changed their name so much don't know if that is still its name). Since the fastest stock time on a 392 (A5) is 12.2. It would be safe to say (and estimate) that the A8 Hellcat will have a fastest stock time in the High 10s (10.9).

It's about time but that Mopar ass is still gonna get spanked by a 2013-2014 GT500....

I would still rather have a Chevy or Ford anyday....I do beleive that the 2013-2014 GT500 will still spank that Mopar ass mainly because the Challenger is a pig...

A lot of people didn't think Fiat had the balls to build this car,but they did and I am very happy that they did.

Oh yeah!!!!! I'm still confused though about the brakes. Allpar states 15.4" brakes in the front only, while the guy in the video says all four corners. Which is it?

That's okay...this creates great competition between manufacturers.

I wondered about Fiat, too. But it seems they've given Dodge leadership, and the SRT design team, a free reign to go after the competition. The new president of Dodge owns a '71 Challenger himself, and is a big muscle car fan.

Things are about to get real interesting, and it's gonna be fun -- regardless of which brand is yours!

have to assume you mean a road course where you will probably never see both cars on the same track at the same time...because at the Drag Strip the Shelby will get drug. Carroll just rolled over in his grave

Don't be so sure. There's a VERY well place source on the Challenger forum who's saying $59,900 starting price. Dodge will sell a boatload it that's true.

That would be too cool, if it's true.
