New guy from St. Louis

Hey guys and gals, I've been looking at some used 1ss and 2ss so far. I'm coming from a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo gsr. I love the Evo but I really want to explore the American muscle side of things. My father in law has a 2012 zl-1 and a 2004 Le Mans special edition z06. I'm exploring all of my options right now. Trying to decide on the a6 or m6. It depends on what deals pop up and what they offer me on my trade in.
Hope to become a contributing member on these boards and I hope they are as helpful as the Evo boards. Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome. I never have been in an import before so I can't tell you how they stack-up. I will tell you that if you can wait for the M6. You will enjoy it much more than the A6. Do you track your car, mod or anything else? again welcome.

I have some light modifications on the Evo right now. I'd love to track it but this summer has been a blur so far. Doing a bodybuilding show this fall and saving up for a wedding while working on our new house. Been a little busy! I love all the options for mods that I had with the Evo. I could research for hours. I'm not expecting the camaro to handle like the Evo, that thing stock drove like it was on rails. But I also am younger and want to experience all aspects of sports cars. I'm partial to manuals but I found a camaro at a local dealer that I really like. Aqua blue metallic with white stripes, but an a6. We'll see

If you can see if you can find a lightly used 1LE. You will not be disappointed.

As good as that sounds it's slightly out of budget right now. If student loans weren't in the picture... Or a wedding... Are weddings really that important??

Adam, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Fyi, we have some great vendors here in STL that are active C5 members such as Diode Dynamics and Nightshades. They both do great work and I'd highly recommend them if you are eventually buy a Camaro and are in need...

Diode is on the Evo forums as well. Thanks for the insight. The abm 2ss I was going to look at is sold so I'll sit around and wait patiently for a new deal... Who am I kidding, as of last night my fiance asked if we could not talk about cars for a few minutes and told me I was a little obsessed
