Greetings from Los Angeles...

Hey everybody. I was referred to this site from one of the sales guys who sold me my Camaro recently. I traded in my 2010 Dodge Charger R/T for a brand new 2014 Camaro 2LT/RS 6spd with NPP. I bought it at a dealer in Houston TX so i'm still awaiting delivery to my house here in L.A. It comes tomorrow morning! (God i cant wait lol)...A family friend is the finance manager there so I got a pretty sweet deal I couldn't turn down.

This will be my first Chevy so i'm anxious to experience what these things can really do. I've been lurking these forums all day yesterday and can already say that i'm gonna have a lot of fun modding this thing.

First thing I'm doing is pulling that F8 fuse to keep those exhaust flaps open and ordering a cold air intake from CAI. Other cosmetic things i'm doing by the end of this week is plastiDipping the car Matte black, painting the RS 20's black, tinting the windows and sunroof, and blacking out the tails.

It's just a start but definitely more to come.

CONGRATS on your ride and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wives', husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I hope to move to CA in the near future. I'm concerned about cost of living and where to live. San Diego looks nice due to the city being so active. I'm a wanna be bodybuilder that hasn't made it yet and want to be able to take mornings runs. A morning run in Louisiana, in the summer, would leave me drenched in sweat due to 100% humidity almost daily. Any suggestions?

Hello Eric. I see you're in SoCal too. I'd like to stop by your shop one day and discuss performance options for my Camaro.

Hey man i know exactly how you feel with those early morning jogs in the humidity. Lived in Houston for 4 years when I went to college and did the same. It was almost unbearable, ugh! But yes, if you can afford to live in SoCal then i'd go for it. I've only been here a year and wouldnt wanna be anywhere else... I think San Diego is more "family friendly" than most parts of L.A. Not sure how the prices are with the housing market but I'd start researching if I were you. Good luck if you decide to make that change bro.

LA? There's a few openings there. Need a room mate? Lol, just kidding. No but really, do you?
