Dealership would not let me test drive???

WTF...Dealership (Warner Robins) would not let me test drive???

They wanted to talk price before I drove car.
They also said they needed special permission from G Mgr.

I told them I'm looking at manual 335I, 545I, maybe a clean E46 M3 also.

I have never driven a 5th gen.

Did they want to run / qualify my credit?

I know how Bimmer's and 4th gens drive.

Jeebus...glad I'm not in market for C7...I would need DHS clearance.

Have: 02 M6 Z28, 04 Tundra DC 4x4, 11' X3

Had: 404 RWHP H&C C5 / MN6, E36 M3, E90 330i, 97 M6 SS. 70 Pro Touring BB Chevelle.

when i test drove my car i was handed the key and my wife and i took it for a spin without the salesman...find a different dealer.

What car was it??.. I know Rick Hendricks in Buford will not let me test drive a Z28.. And I bought 5 cars from them!!.. But the dealership should want to make sure you like the car before they submit it to the bank.. You should have no problem test driving a LS, LT, or SS..

Just wondering what you wanted to drive.
Most dealerships have V6 and SS Camaros on the lot for test drives.

Now a ZL1 Camaro might be a different story based on the size of the dealership. Many dealerships don't even have a ZL1 on the lot to sell.

Used Silver 2SS in Warner Robins GA.

I'm relocating back to GA. from KY. Metro ATL area

I have relatives in Central GA. Wife and I went to Mercer in Macon.

Try Rick Hendricks of Buford or Duluth.. With the exception of the Z28.. They won't submit a deal to the bank until you test drive a car first.. You will be able to test drive a SS easily

I went into Nimnicht Chevy in Jax, FL to test drive a Chevy SS couple of weeks ago and they wanted me to sign a contract before I could test the car....I told them to pack sand.
They only had two SS's on the lot and one was being driven by the owner.
Little did they know....I was already preapproved for the loan...... and they could have had the deal done that afternoon.
I took my toys and went home..... now I am shopping other dealers.

Yup find another dealer. My Son and I were handed the keys and we took off. Just us, sales person stayed behind

If it is a Chevy dealer it is because of the recall that they didn't let you test drive the car. I work for a chevy dealership here in NC and we aren't allowed to give test drives in a new or used Camaro. I know it frustrating but its just what GM has told us.
