This isn't a frat, and this isn't a branch in the military which will always have love for someone because they are apart of something larger than themselves. It's a freaking car, we own it because we love it.

Majority of the time in your life time, you will run into more douchebags out there that own the same thing as you, and won't respect you and will want to be better than you.

Next time you expect someone to want a thumbs up or something, think of it this way just change your story a little bit to make it seem like you were walking in a mall, and you noticed someone wearing the exact same shoes as you. You were walking slow and he was huffing and puffing right behind you, and you were only going slow to let him go around you so you could compliment his shoes....sounds retarded now doesn't it?

Learn to let go and realize that we live in America, the most rude nation in the world with the expectation for everyone else to be nice.
I think you make a good point about expectations, but it's not quite applicable in this situation.

The other guy was being needlessly aggressive, and it sounds like the OP was more than willing to let the guy pass. I don't think the OP was looking for love and/or affection from the other Camaro owner. Had he passed, the OP was going to give him a "thumbs' up", but the other guy insisted on lagging behind and doing aggressive things. At least that's how I read it.

Everyone always says on here "drive it like you stole it" maybe he did steal it...lol...

Your better than me when I was 22...I had high risk insurance from all the speeding tickets. Etc... I learned the hard way and you did the right thing. I didn't get any love from the ZL1 that passed me today on the highway either. I should have flipped him off...lol....jk...

99% of people like this I give them half throttle enough to get 1-2 pounds of boost and put a car or two on them I'll let out and ofcourse get the ricer fly by. It's enough to show them time to move on, or I'm sure I'm in a few kill stories on some Honda gay boys forum.

I treat anyone wanting to race on the street as an asshole and pay them no mind at all. And my car is not slow by any means.

But I'm 53 now. At 22, I would have raced him!! Way to keep your cool.
