You know, before today I never really noticed a ricer...

I'm taking a corner at 20mph, and I hear this weedwacker coming up from behind me. An old Honda, no spoiler, loudass muffler, and bad paint.

...it was hilarious.

According to this Camaro, pro-GM website...probably yes, the Suburu WRX would be considered a "ricer".

I even consider Cobalt SS a ricer. A guy tried to race my vette and I could not stop laughing from the engine sound it makes(I didn't respond to him). He kept revving then slowing then and going fast trying to lure me into a race.

Well I think SS great car just saying it sounds "rice".. if rice has a sound lol.

I would love to have one to play with myself. Just 4 bangers are not "big boys" to me.

I don't own a ricer and never will but some of them you have to give credit where credit is due. I have several friends with SRT-4's that wouldn't have any problem smoking my camaro or Viper. Most of them are in the 450-600HP range and one with 980 to the wheels.

The make or model doesn't make it rice...the mods, or more importantly how the mods are done makes it rice!

I've seen Cobalt SS's that can pull solid 12s all day! I've seen SRT4s that can do the same as well as 240s that can powerslide with the best of them! Heck...I'll go one farther say I've seen a very, very nice Cavalier on the go-juice running low 12s! Car was beautiful to say the least!

So...just becuse it's a 4 banger doesn't make it rice. I could say my definition of rice and it may not be yours...even the cars I mentioned you may call rice but to me, they were well put together cars that were both show and go!

Different crowd but not different strokes...they too (most...not all) are trying to build cars...just like we did!

I've seen a few 2010 Camaros that I would call rice...

The word ricer can be used for many different cars, the most common ricer you see is a Honda civic with horrid exterior and interior mods, Ricer can be used on a Non ricer Japanese car such as the wrx, even tho it isn't a ricer
