Well the last bit if work was interesting...getting hit with a huge storm and a lightning bolt hit a near by transformer and a couple trees fell down on some lines so the power went out at work and a a bunch of roads were closed off.

man glad you made it back safely. I love storms though. and I like driving in them unless it's pouring down rain and you can't see your hand that's in front of you to save your life. well I guess you had to do the ol' chevy saying and find new roads

because this is a more active thread, and I didn't want to start a new thread about FI v6, i'll ask here....

other than brackets and a tune, what would be the difference between a vortech v-3 supercharger on the v8 for the v6?

Depending on the setup I know some of the internal bearings and such could differ because of mounting reasons.

Was actually talking to someone at the fest about this and they said that you could send your unit in and Vortech will alter it for your needs.

oh, well that's good to know. wonder how much that would cost. because I know a guy with a vortech for his SS, and willing to part with it for very cheap. he's thinking of going with a twin turbo setup.

I guess you could always contact Vortech and see what their response is.

Who knows maybe there isn't even a difference in the actual units....

What's up guys. V6 owner... New to the forum(and forums in general), just thought I'd say hello... I've had my car for a month and already going nuts deciding what I want to do with it(pretty much just been swapping out the factory lights for LEDs so far). Still kinda nervous about staring a thread because I'm sure every question I could have has already been answered somewhere else lol... But I'm thinking my next purchase will be to add a back up cam...

Any thoughts/input on what to do with a V6 would be appreciated!

Thanks!

High flow cats, CAI, exhaust, ported throttled body, For performance.

If you haven't gotten tint then get it. The cosmetics are really up to you but maybe, taillight tint, aftermarket sidemarkers if you don't wanna tint those. If you like vinyl hit up Seth at SSTG he is an amazing guy.
