Despite the "top ten" list...GM has apparently earned the most business off of this program. I guess it goes to show you what having a full portfolio can do instead of just one or two "good" cars.

GM Has Sold the Most Cars Under ‘Cash for Clunkers’ Program

Ford was third in sales earned, and Toyota was second.

I still agree with you all. American dollars for people with enough wits to buy American cars.

My bro forwarded me a post from another forum from a dealer confirming that many of the cars people are trading in are worth MORE than what they get from the c4c program... and the dealers don't file the paperwork with he gov't and they clean 'em up and sell them for their market value. One dealer says he got 10K for a $4500 c4c Explorer.

Add 1 '92 S10 Blazer to that list.

...And mine had WELL over 150k. No significant work done to the powertrain....EVER.
Any money put into that car was on junk stuff. And if rust was a traded commodity I would have cornered the market by now, but the guts of that car are SOLID.

Well, the buggy only has 4 horsepower.
The car I traded in the Blazer for however, has roughly 304.
Speaking of, I'm looking for a double din phonograph...

Sorry I didn't answer either of the questions, but I simply cannot find a funny comeback worthy enough. :(

Err, would you beleive SIM with RS? I actually haven't seen the midnight silver ones in person yet so I don't know how dark they are.

Those rims on that Chally from a week ago on here might fit the buggy though...

I don't care about number 1 or 2 etc. I care about my money they took from me to dole out to people who did nothing other than own a POS. They are rewarded while someone like me (who actually pays taxes) can't qualify for this tax break, because I don't own an old POS..

Im not saying everyone person who bought a car with this voucher falls in the bottom 50% of americans (which pay NO federal income tax)

But look at the top ten cars sold under this program.. Most are cheap cars that lower income families typically buy.

My country will never be the same.. :(
