I know the only way I would go to a fest in the west was if I flew. No way I'm doing over a 20 hour drive and if we towed, I would need a small collection of gold to pay for the gas.

And not only is the gas super expensive but I bet the trip to Texas put a good amount of stress on my dad's Silverado. If you ever plan on towing a long haul like what we just did a 1500 Silverado doesn't really cut it. Unfortunately we found out the hard way

cost us about a grand in just gas, for the uhaul towing jewel, from SC to NV

Really hoping we can make Fest next year, with the car or not. This year it really didn't pan out the way we wanted with the surprise move cross country.

1400 mile round trip to Texas was about 600 in gas. Basically we averaged 9 MPG and as long as you kept it in towing mode we never saw sixth gear.

You could take it out of towing mode and get to sixth but if you did the tranny would start to over heat and I don't know about you but I prefer 2 MPG less over burnt tranny fluid

Honestly this fest had the best parking lot party on Friday night. I meet many great people. Oh and the H-town camaro clubs knows what's up when it comes to street meets.
