I'm just saying in this age where people will not take responsibility for their own actions and are always looking for someone to sue over anything, it could, and does happen.

Last time I looked the front tires do the steering, cold tires on the front would have less grip causing you to not be able to go through the turns as fast. You still need to warm up the front tires or you will end up off the track if you push it hard. Line lock is really a drag racing thing.

Hmmm, sounds like some fun stuff coming to a Camaro near you soon! Line-lock with the new HD performance data recorder! Sign me up! Will the Camaro or Vette be first to have this feature?

Like I said previously, in this age when things go wrong people want to blame someone else instead of owning up to their mistakes. And when someone gets hurt or killed they start looking for someone to sue.

It's a great option...but useless if they void the warranty for it.
I mean...the ZL1 puts in things specifically for track racing and COVERS it.

It does come down to the responsibility of the individual.

Where do I say that? I said it makes it easier for people to do burnouts, even inexperienced or stupid ones...

Not if your running the factory tires. Street tires tend to get oily when you over heat them. It is generally better to either aviod the water or spin the tires just enough to dry them.

LOL, sounds almost like Foerd supports street racing. That statement could get them in trouble.

Though...is it possible to do a burnout in a Ford Focus?

I would say so, but a burnout in a FWD car has much different dynamics than doing one in a RWD car.

I see in my crystal ball, a young 18-19 year old with line lock on in his used very poorly maintained mustang. Oh no he needs front brakes one sides is not working at all. He turns on his new cool linelock feature hammers the gas tires screeching one side locked up car takes off into a spin hits and runs over one of his smart friends standing right beside the car filming it for utube with his phone. flash forward 3 years parents in front of cameras at the steps to the court house "how could ford be so careless".
just saying.
